Two of Hertfordshire’s most established Land & New Homes businesses merge.
In 2021, Ashtons officially acquired Putterills Land & Development Ltd, in an exciting move that established the largest Land and New Homes business in Hertfordshire.
Prior to the merger, Ashtons’ core area of activity in the Land and New Homes market had been focused in central and south Hertfordshire, whilst Putterills Land & Development Ltd were previously the north Hertfordshire specialist. Together, the new group is expected to transact £130M of New Homes sales over the next 12 months.

2021 was a year of fantastic growth for Ashtons who also acquired Aitchisons Residential in Berkhamsted earlier in the year.
Strengthening Ashtons’ new homes presence across Hertfordshire, the Land and New Homes team will now consolidate and run from the Hitchin office. It is predicted that the merger will facilitate an enhanced service for clients, both existing and future, with an expanded network and increased portfolio of properties and a collaboration of some of the most talented people in the industry.
