The latest data from Rightmove reveals that the beautiful city of St Albans is the most expensive place to rent outside of London. This commuter hotspot is one of the oldest towns in Hertfordshire, combining a rich history with exceptional transport links to London, outstanding schools and a thriving restaurant and pub scene. It's no wonder that St Albans is popular with people of all generations.
Rightmove’s analysis comes as students begin the new academic year, highlighting the growth in rental prices across the top university cities. Oxford and Cambridge saw rental increases of 41% and 40% respectively over five years, while St Albans, though still significant, came in lower at 33%.
Ashtons has recently taken on the instruction for a one-bedroom flat at £1,300pcm in the city, showcasing how we can offer affordable properties within the area.
