On that day, twenty years ago, two people joined the business. Steve Fisher came into the agency on the back of a commercial banking background for HSBC in Madrid, having recently moved back to the UK. And Cathy Chappin joined us from a local competitor estate agency to “help out” with our recently formed team at our specialist Village and Country office in Redbourn.
Fast forward 20 years and both Steve and Cathy are still with us, two complete superstars of the business whose loyalty, dedication, hard work and amazing client care has led them to have fantastic careers with us which we are so grateful for.
Today Cathy is still with our Village and Country office, although it has grown quite considerably since 2004. Cathy is the main stay of the Village and Country team and continues to offer the same amazing service as she did from day one.
Steve progressed through the ranks at Welwyn Garden City to a Senior Negotiator then Assistant Manager before being given his own office to run in Redbourn. Today he’s back at Welwyn Garden City, but now running the office as its sales manager. Again another amazing performance from a truly outstanding individual.
To thank Steve and Cathy for their 20 years of excellent contribution to Ashtons, we were recently delighted to surprise Steve and Cathy with a small token of our appreciation. Steve received his Omega watch and Cathy’s off to the Mandarin Oriental in Knightsbridge for a wonder meal in Heston Blumenthal 2 Michelin star restaurant-Dinner.
